Product Summary

The STV 500 door locking devices immediately unlock secured escape route doors upon release via an emergency button, in the event of an emergency release or for authorised users. They are often referred to as electric strikes for escape route doors, as they unite the functions of an electric strike with those of an electromechanical fail-safe locking device. Thanks to its concealed frame installation, the STV 500 not only provides the door with visual elegance, but it’s also not prone to vandalism.

Product Details

Reliable locking and unlocking of escape route doors

STV 500 door locking devices are connected to the SafeRoute emergency exit and escape route system as a locking element. The STV 500 is approved according to the EltVTR (German directive for electrical locking systems on escape route doors) and corresponds to the specifications of EN 13637.

Easy adaptation to the prevailing door type

The STV 500 is concealed in the door frame, while its counterpart, the TV-Z 510 mortise latch lock, is installed in the door leaf. Both the door-opener latch of the STV 500 and the latch of the TV-Z 510 are adjustable to compensation tolerances without having to disassemble the components.

Versions for different types of doors

The STV 500 is available with an angle strike plate for over-rebated doors or a flat strike plate for flush-closing doors. The well-known dormakaba Easy Adapt latch guide for electric strikes is also available as an option. All versions have an internal feedback contact for monitoring of activated/de-activated status and are ready for use in fire and smoke doors (see approval of the respective door system).

Greater comfort with the STV 500

The STV 500 is connected to the SafeRoute escape route door control unit quickly and easily using a four-lead DCW® system bus with no separate emergency deactivation circuit.
