The dormakaba RCI 4 Series is a centerline electric strike for 3/4 in. (19 mm) latch projection. Its various faceplate options and 1-1/2 in. (38 mm) cut-out depth accommodate most door frame types and materials, and it works with door thicknesses from 1-3/8 to 2-3/8 in. (35 to 60 mm). The 41 Series is fail-secure and the 43 Series is fail-safe: a fail-secure strike stays locked when power is removed, a fail-safe strike unlocks.

Installation: standard mounting tabs and fasteners are included, and a trim plate covers an irregular frame cut-out. Crossed wires are never a problem because the coil is not polarity sensitive. The strike is non-handed and draws 200 mA at 12 VDC on 11 to 16 VAC, 12 VAC/VDC or 24 VAC/VDC.

Strength by faceplate: 1,500 lbf (6,672 N) static for fire-rated models, 1,000 lbf (4,448 N) for non-fire-rated 04 and 14 faceplates, and 500 lbf (2,224 N) for 05, 07, 08 and 19 faceplates; 70 ft-lb (95 J) dynamic. Endurance is 500,000 cycles for fire-rated (F) models and 250,000 cycles for other models.

Listings: UL 1034 (Underwriters Laboratories) burglary-resistant listed. Optional 1-1/2 hour fire-rated models are listed to UL 10C and CAN/ULC S104 and certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.31, Grade 1; fire-rated (F) models are available only in fail-secure mode with 04 and 14 faceplates. 5 year limited warranty.
