RCI 0162 3/4 in. Rim

The dormakaba RCI 0162 is a 3/4 in. (19 mm) surface-mounted rim electric strike for Pullman latch rim exit devices. As a completely surface mount electric strike it requires no cutting of the door frame, and it accommodates 1/2 to 3/4 in. (13 to 19 mm) latch projection on hollow metal, aluminum and wood door frames.

Construction: the rugged stainless steel strike has a heavy-duty housing reinforced to eliminate twisting on imperfect frames, and a one-piece conventional keeper that promotes even load distribution against forced entry. It is rated 1,500 lbf (6,672 N) static and 70 ft-lb (95 J) dynamic, 500,000 cycles, and is factory tested to over 4 million cycles.

Installation and power: up to 1/4 in. (6.4 mm) horizontal adjustment compensates for door misalignment, and a 1/16 in. (1.5 mm) mounting spacer, plug-in wire connectors, HEX socket head cap screws and a HEX key are included. The strike is non-handed and fail-secure, meaning it stays locked when power is removed. It draws 500 mA at 12 VDC on field-selectable 12/24 VDC or 12 to 24 VAC.

Options and listings: optional latch monitor and 3-hour fire-rated models (F0162 and F0162LM) are available. The 0162 is UL 294 (Underwriters Laboratories) listed as an access control unit accessory and UL 1034 burglary-resistant listed; fire-rated models are listed to UL 10C and CAN/ULC S104 for 3 hours and California State Fire Marshal listed. 10 year limited warranty.
