Boston Children‘s Museum
The young visitors to Boston Children’s Museum are encouraged to encounter by all the major issues and aspects of the world in which they live: society, art, science, health, environment and cultural diversity – and with hands-on exhibits and join-in activities rather than everything being placed on pedestals and protected behind glass.

DORMA's contribution to the project
In 2005, the facility’s management decided to extend the Boston Children’s Museum and upgrade its ecological credentials in line with the latest state of the art. With designs provided by architects Cambridge Seven Associates, the result is a highly modern building complex – directly overlooking Boston’s Harbor Basin – in which the fully automatic sliding doors from DORMA are a perfect fit.
