The dormakaba RCI EM-MAG1500 Compact is a compact electromechanical lock designed for outswinging doors and small enclosures. The RCI EM-MAG1500 is significantly smaller than standard electromagnetic locks yet provides a holding force of 1,500 lbf (6,672 N).

Status and security: the lock includes a bi-color light panel that indicates lock status, an early warning alarm, lock and door status sensors and an anti-tamper security plate. It releases under a side load of up to 130 lb (60 kg) and has no residual magnetism.

Power and construction: fail-safe operation on field-selectable 12 or 24 VDC, drawing 240 mA at 12 VDC or 120 mA at 24 VDC. The anodized aluminum housing is zinc plated for corrosion resistance, and the lock is factory tested to over 1 million cycles.
