Full delivery of compliant, fully certified cabin door equipment
Ensuring secure and compliant access on board a cruise ship demands a high level of precision, collaboration and expertise in maritime regulatory standards. Safety and accessibility for crew and passengers alike are paramount – especially in environments with large passenger volumes and diverse mobility needs.
After being briefed on the requirements, dormakaba addressed these challenges with an integrated access control concept tailored to the unique demands of the marine industry – and incorporated into the wider infrastructure of the cruise ship SH Diana. This solution, compromising Saffire LX hotel locks, Pextra+ master key system, TS 90 impulse cam action door closers and ED 250 swing door operators, ensures full compliance with SOLAS maritime safety standards and ADA accessibility guidelines, seamlessly managing entry and exit points throughout the vessel.
As part of its specialized marine access solutions, dormakaba’s services also include its Ambiance Access Management software, which is fully integrated into the Otalio shipboard property management system. The result is a secure, efficient and regulation-compliant access environment that enhances safety and operational control throughout the ship.
