Product Details
SAM RF software is intuitive from installation, and dormakaba can work with your management to set up the database to the property's design.
- Drop-down menus for programming keys, setting up users and authorizations, and generating system transaction reports
- Customizable authorization groups give management control over employee access and key-making restrictions
- ID and password protection for added security and administration
- Multiple database option to manage several properties from a single system
- Multiple, customizable key levels: Resident, Zone, Master, Limited Use and Emergency
Audit Trail
- InSync locks keep entry records by time, date and key ID. Non-volatile memory maintains programming and audit information.
Dual Technology: Single-Key Convenience
- An InSync RFID key with dual technologies combines the standard HiTag with Prox, MIFARE® or DESFire® technology. One credential can then work with many RFID access readers, avoiding the cost of new access readers. This suits properties where a common credential must work alongside hard-wired access control systems.
InSync Configuration
- Unit function: designed for apartment entry, offices, utility rooms and more
- Suite function: for multiple leases per apartment, such as student housing. If one resident loses a key, the new key cancels the lost key and roommates keep access.
- Common function: for perimeter entries and amenity spaces. Common locks can be restricted by time schedule and use, which suits pay-for-use amenity areas.
Components
The SAM RF system includes the following components:
- SAM RF System Software CD (program software and USB drivers)
- Electronic Key Encoder Base
- SAM RF System Utility Device
- Electronic keys: preprogrammed (construction) and un-encoded (key)
- Power source for the Electronic Key Encoder
- USB cable for the Electronic Key Encoder
- USB cable for the Utility Device
- External Power Supply (EPS)
RF Key
An encrypted code is programmed into the RFID key, making it a unique credential. The credential tells the lock to allow or deny access. Each exchange of information between lock and RFID key is stored in the lock and available for audit.
Rugged Durability
The RFID key communicates with the lock by radio frequency (RF) when inserted into the lock's key port. It needs no physical electrical contact points: it receives power and communications through proximity, so unlike metallic contacts it does not need protection from corrosion or from wear caused by repeated use. The key is made of a special polymer that is impervious to moisture and can be inserted into the key port in any direction.
Single-Key Convenience
One RFID key can operate private residence locks as well as multiple common area locks chosen by management, which suits residential communities with a variety of amenities.
Expiration and Cancellation
RFID keys work continuously, expire at a programmed time, or stop working when canceled by the operating system. An expiration date is programmed on each key when it is made. An RFID key can be reprogrammed as many times as needed and automatically cancels the previous RFID key (for example, if it is lost or stolen) without reprogramming the lock.
