ILCO E-760 / 76M

The ILCO E-760 / 76M (ILCO 76M) is a heavy-duty electronic lockset with a clutch mechanism and a built-in magnetic stripe card reader, in mortise or cylindrical versions. The ILCO E-760 / 76M has been discontinued. Limited parts and support may be available.

For reference: the ILCO E-760 reads hi-coercivity (HiCo) magnetic stripe keycards, automatically cancels the previous keycard so a previous resident cannot re-enter, and works with the ILCO Front Desk Unit and ILCO ATLAS (legacy).

Technical Details

Description: Heavy-duty electronic lockset with clutch mechanism and built-in magnetic stripe card reader (mortise or cylindrical)

Handing: Left or right factory-handed mortise; field-reversible handing (lever and mortise)

Lever: ADA compliant; outside lever free to rotate upward and downward in locked mode

  • Long lever: 3/8 in. (9.5 mm)
  • Short lever: 2 in. (51 mm)

Concealed key override (optional):

  • ILCO KIK Core (keyed-alike, master keyed, recodable)
  • Best small IC adaptor

Deadbolt: 1 in. (25 mm) (for ASM mortise) or 21.4 mm (for ESM mortise) solid metal, projected by inside thumbturn and retracted with the latch by the interior handle, emergency override or specific staff keycards. Optional automatic deadbolt

Door thickness: 1 3/8 in. to 2 1/2 in. (35 mm to 63.5 mm)
Housing construction: Cast zinc alloy (outside housing, levers and thumbturn); stainless steel inside housing

  • ANSI lock case with 1 1/4 in. (31.8 mm) or 1 in. (25.4 mm) lock front mortise; optional automatic deadbolt
  • Cylindrical latch (2 3/8 in. (60 mm) or 2 3/4 in. (70 mm) backset)
  • European lock case mortise (20 x 165 mm) with round (20 or 23 x 235 mm) or square (20 x 235 mm) lock front mortise
  • Batteries: 3 AA alkaline batteries for up to 50,000 openings or up to 3 years (based on 10 openings per day)
