RFID Encoder GEN II

The dormakaba RFID Encoder GEN II is a hotel key card encoder that operates with dormakaba hotel access management platforms to authorize access throughout the property. The encoder encodes radio frequency identification (RFID) keycards and other media, such as fobs and wristbands, with data and commands for both guest and staff level access.

Connectivity: The key card encoder offers USB or network connectivity, which enhances front desk efficiency and employee convenience. It is powered by the USB interface (5 V) or by Power over Ethernet (PoE). Its TCP/IP interface connects directly to an Ethernet network, with no software to install on the client workstation.

Credentials and security: The RFID Encoder GEN II supports RFID keycards or fobs (ISO 14443-A), MIFARE Ultralight C, MIFARE Plus EV2 and MIFARE DESFire EV3 credentials, and dormakaba enhanced security encryption. MIFARE Plus EV2 should be used in conjunction with the enhanced security mode available in Ambiance version 2.10 or later.
