Gateway GEN II

dormakaba Gateway GEN II is an online device for wireless access control in hotels. The Zigbee gateway connects standalone electronic door locks and the access control system through the Zigbee communications protocol and is purpose-built for dormakaba Zigbee-enabled locks.

Two-way communication: Gateway GEN II is the link between the hotel's access control system and the Zigbee-enabled locks. The wireless online system offers two-way communication between the front desk and the electronic locks, so staff can monitor and manage room door activity and oversee and control door access remotely.

Network and security: Gateway GEN II uses radio frequency (RF) communications at 2.4 GHz, which is globally license-free, with end-to-end encryption and AES-128 secure networking. The Zigbee PRO stack standard supports large-scale properties with thousands of nodes. The gateway connects through one 100 Mbit Ethernet port that supports Power over Ethernet (PoE).
