Quantum RFID RCU/ECU

The dormakaba Quantum RFID remote/elevator control unit (RCU/ECU) is a stand-alone card reader controller for parking access control, elevators and other perimeter doors. Using contactless smart card technology, the Quantum RFID RCU/ECU is designed to work with all electrified access control devices for perimeter doors, concierge floors, common areas and other secured areas with electrified hardware.

Card and mobile access: The radio frequency identification (RFID) reader uses the industry-standard MIFARE ISO 14443A communication platform and a high-security protocol. The reader can also operate using dormakaba Mobile Access Solutions, with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) options.

Applications: The Quantum RFID RCU/ECU controls remote access points such as parking entrances, outdoor swimming pools and elevators, where it serves as an elevator card reader controller. It operates locking devices such as electric strikes and magnetic locks, and it can optionally be equipped with Ambiance RX or another wireless transceiver for online, centralized access control.
