With a streamlined design this heavy duty, Grade 1, RFID electronic lockset is built for performance. The most versatile E-Plex model to date, it functions in standalone or wireless modes for cylindrical, mortise and exit device applications.

The E-Plex 7900 when used with Keyscan Aurora or LUNA software, offers the same trusted function and reliability customers have come to love with other E-Plex product offerings.

With variable models each designed to function with a designated list of credential types, E-Plex 7900 can be trusted in many access control environments.

Zigbee configuration changes: 

  • Generation 2 - Fully compatible with Gen 2 E-Plex locks and wireless networks. Generation 2 hardware is not compatible with the Generation 1 wireless network; however, it will continue to function alongside Generation 1 wireless locks and networks. 
  • Generation 1 - Compatible only with existing Gen 1 locks and zigbee wireless network.

It delivers enterprise-grade RFID and mobile credential security with the flexibility of standalone offline operation or real-time wireless management—without the expense and disruption of wiring every door.

  • Up to 100 gateways per network 
  • 100 devices (locks/routers) per gateway 
  • Up to 8 routers per gateway 
  • Locks/routers can be up to 2-hops from gateway 
  • Locks will ping and look for closest gateway/router 

E-Plex 7900 offline applications 

  • Aurora or Luna programing and audit data is transported to and from each lock directly using the M-Unit handheld
