Exit Device Operators

dormakaba Exit Device Operators are electronic locksets that control access at exit doors equipped with panic devices. Each exit device operator offers the same design and security features as the unit locks, which keeps the design of the property uniform at perimeter and common area doors.

Models: the listed models are Ilco and Saflok operators with a radio frequency identification (RFID) contactless card reader or a magnetic stripe card reader, and the InSync CP for rim and vertical exit hardware on common area doors. All listed models are dormakaba legacy products. See Technical Data for the full list.

Security: the operators are vandalism and attack resistant, support emergency access by emergency keycard or electronic/mechanical key override, and provide audit capabilities.

  • Outside lever free to rotate upward and downward in locked mode

Door thickness

  • Saflok models: 1 3/8 in. to 3 in. (35 mm to 76.2 mm)
  • Ilco models: 1 3/8 in. to 2 1/2 in. (35 mm to 63.5 mm)

Door preparation

  • Minimum door stile required: 5 in. (127 mm)
  • Supplied with gasket kit for exterior doors
  • All fitted with adaptor plate

Housing construction

  • Saflok models: escutcheon in stainless steel or brass; levers in brass, zinc or stainless steel
  • Ilco models: cast zinc alloy (outside housing)

Finishes

  • Ilco models: satin chrome, satin brass
  • Ilco 730, 750, 720-II: optional supreme ocean-front finish
  • Ilco 79E: available with ultra finish for ocean-front applications
  • Saflok models: bright chrome, bright brass, satin chrome, satin brass, dark mahogany
  • Stainless finishes are recommended near the ocean front or for exterior applications
