Software compatibility

Zigbee configuration

• Generation 2: fully compatible with Gen 2 E-Plex locks and wireless networks. Generation 2 hardware is not compatible with the Generation 1 wireless network, but it continues to function alongside Generation 1 wireless locks and networks
• Generation 1: compatible only with existing Gen 1 locks and Zigbee wireless network. Contact your sales representative for any Generation 1 hardware needs

E-Plex 7900 wireless applications (Generation 2 wireless gateway)

• 100 devices (locks/routers) per gateway

• Locks/routers can be up to 2 hops from the gateway
• Locks ping and look for the closest gateway/router

E-Plex 7900 offline applications

• Aurora or LUNA programming and audit data is transported to and from each lock directly using the M-Unit handheld
