Keyscan KC Series Door Control Panels

The Keyscan KC series is the next generation Keyscan Hardware designed with new unparalleled improvement, consolidation of peripheral technologies as well as enhanced integration options – all on a smaller board.

The Keyscan KC Series offers enhanced technologies, greater connectivity and high-performance.

Product Details

Keyscan KC series panels are designed to be compatible with their legacy CA Series predecessors - with one major difference. Communications with Keyscan Aurora software PC or Server and amongst multiple panels will move to TCP/IP protocol (CAT5 ethernet) from the legacy protocol. NETCOM TCP/IP modules are no longer required for KC Series panels.

The KC Series control panels will continue to support peripheral and expansion devices (IOCB1616, OCB8) plus a host of readers, contacts, electronic/wireless locks, strikes, electromagnetic locks, and request to exit touch or touchless actuator devices.

The Keyscan KC series next generation control panels will usher in a new spectrum of innovative functions, including:

  • Functions with Keyscan Aurora 2.0 (or higher)
  • LCD screen display for instant troubleshooting
  • Menu selections for at-board programming
  • Built in TCP/IP (ethernet) port
  • Credential capacity up to 100,000
  • Support for wiegand and OSDP V2.1.5 reader protocol
  • Network firmware updates
  • GUI embedded browser for hardware set up
  • Half the size of CA legacy panels
  • At least 4 off board peripherals now built on-board
  • 5 year warranty

Backward compatible
New KC series panels will function in tandem with legacy CA250; CA4500 and CA8500 panels via TCP/IP connection to the same Aurora software platform. Communications between software and panels is 128 Bit AES.

Existing daughter boards remain available for expansion:

  • IOCB1616 input/output boards;
  • OCB8 relay boards;
  • WIEEX2 wiegand extenders remain compatible

Important: New firmware will allow communication with existing OCB8 relay boards and IOCB1616 input/output boards both used to augment system expansion.

Functionalities

OSDP support:
Keyscan KC series panels support V2.1.5 OSDP reader protocol. OSDP allows for two-way secure communication between reader and panel. This supports reader technology such as reciprocal sounds and LED or even custom messaging.

Convenient troubleshooting:
Keyscan KC series panels feature a new LCD screen display for instant troubleshooting details and error messages.

Keep your firmware up-to-date:
The Keyscan KC series panels receive firmware updates through network via embedded web GUI.

New GUI set up:
Keyscan KC series new Graphical User Interface (GUI) for hardware set up. You can see the interface and directly enter information to program the panel before needing Aurora Software.
