Koch doors are high-quality and durable – boxes that the access control solution had to tick, too.

Koch Türen GmbH, a traditional Tyrol-based company, produces around 22,000 industrially custom-made, perfectly shaped doors as high-quality carpentry products each year.

Koch has been fitting its elegant products with dormakaba’s high-quality door technology and locking systems for many years. Now, the company is relying on dormakaba in its own building too.

Since the security and management of Koch’s processes and its roughly 100 employees are fundamental to its production operations, the entire five-story building complex was kitted out with the modern exos 9300 online access control system.

Access on a whole new level: well thought-out, right down to the smallest detail

The exos 9300 online access control system offers Koch Türen a scalable and modular system platform that performs every access control task: from simple door control and integrated wireless door components to complex barrier control including a monitoring function.

The access control system’s wireless components can be conveniently controlled and read out from a desk using Wireless Gateways. Koch Türen manages all access instances directly in exos thanks to a personnel master data import interface.

Employees’ access rights are validated daily using the locking system’s online readers or at one of the four beautifully designed dormakaba time tracking terminals, and the elegant, functional c-lever pro door fittings check their access privileges.

The c-lever pro is ideal for interior and exterior doors, as well as doors with increased security requirements. In conjunction with the appropriate panic hardware, it is tested as per EN 1125 for use on panic doors and as per EI230 for use on fire doors. A total of 17 installed Wireless Gateways 90 40 network the wireless door components with the access control system.

Additional security elements such as digital cylinders and online readers guarantee access to special areas such as elevators. Two dormakaba desktop readers are used for two-factor authentication on central computers.

The locking system’s doors are fitted with mechanical penta cylinder locks for emergency opening. The tried-and-tested Series 127 door locks with latch blocking are used on all interior doors.

Panic doors in the building are automatically locked by SVP 5000 each time they close, guaranteeing both convenience and security.
