Exit lane breach control PIL-M02

Orthos PIL-M02 exit lane breach control corridors provide uncompromised airport security by separating airside and landside areas. Automated, sensor-monitored passageways prevent unauthorized access, detect objects and breaches, and ensure sterile and non-sterile flows remain strictly separated. Fast-reacting doors and fail-secure operation protect passengers, staff, and infrastructure while enabling smooth, efficient airport operations across various terminal zones.

  • Highly modular system design with flexible lengths, widths, and door configurations for all airport layouts
  • Scalable security levels via one, two, or three full-height doors depending on protection requirements
  • Advanced sensor technology including direction sensing light grids and stereo video detection
  • Reliable intrusion prevention ensuring unauthorized access to airside areas is virtually impossible
  • Object detection capability for thrown or left items, enhancing overall perimeter security
  • Adaptable airport integration suitable for varying architectural environments, from compact to large-scale terminals

Product Details

Orthos PIL-M02 features a comprehensive sensor-based security concept designed for maximum detection accuracy and pedestrian safety. Horizontal sensors monitor door operation and reliably detect left objects down to 50 × 50 × 50 mm. Vertical sensors identify objects thrown through the corridor at speeds up to 10 m/s, with detection capability down to 100 × 100 × 100 mm. Radar sensors monitor movement in unauthorized directions and control door opening, while high-performance stereo sensors ensure precise wrong-way detection with reduced false alarms. Fast-moving half-height swing doors act as an additional first barrier, reinforcing protection and preventing unauthorized access attempts.

Functionalities

  • Controlled single-direction passage with automated pedestrian flow management
  • Multi-layer intrusion prevention using radar and stereo sensor-based wrong-way detection
  • Object detection and security monitoring for left and thrown objects within the corridor
  • Coordinated door control system with full-height and optional half-height fast-acting swing doors
  • Integrated pedestrian safety system with monitored door movement and low-energy drives
  • Fail-safe operation logic ensuring secure door positioning during power loss and recovery

Applications

Exit lane breach control corridors are used in airports and other high-security environments to safely separate passenger flows and ensure controlled movement from restricted to public areas while preventing unauthorized access and maintaining operational efficiency.
