Mobile Access Solutions

dormakaba Mobile Access Solutions is an end-to-end mobile credential application that securely issues and updates mobile credentials on smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and other mobile devices, and uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) at the lock. It is convenient, reliable and secure for both the property and its residents.

Using LEGIC Connect technology, the credentials work on mobile-enabled locks and give residents access to an apartment's main door, individual units and facility amenities. The system operates as a service hosted by LEGIC Connect, so there is no software to install, maintain or manage.

Bluetooth access control at the door: The resident presents a mobile phone to the dormakaba RFID Bluetooth Low Energy lock. The BLE module housed in the lock communicates with the device and allows access into the unit.

Visitor access: The dormakaba BlueSky app can create mobile keys and PIN codes for temporary or recurring visitors. With the Residential Visitor Management functionality, residents can send PIN codes verbally, by text or by email with minimal disruption to their busy lives.

How a mobile key reaches the resident

  • Property management system interface: the mobile key is pushed from the office via System 6000, ATLAS or RezShield software systems (all legacy) to LEGIC Connect
  • LEGIC Connect: administers the security and authenticates residents; the only information sent to the cloud is resident information and unique mobile identification
  • Resident mobile device: once the resident receives the notification and downloads the app, the app receives the mobile key
  • dormakaba RFID Bluetooth Low Energy lock: the resident presents the mobile phone to the lock, and the BLE module housed in the lock communicates with the device to allow access into the unit
