INDIANAPOLIS, September 22, 2026 – dormakaba will showcase its latest security solutions for vacation rental properties at VRMA 26, the premier event for short-term vacation rental professionals, October 4-6 in Nashville. At Booth #1101, attendees can see connected access technologies designed to help property managers control access for guests, owners, and staff while keeping check-in simple.
Guests want a seamless experience and keyless access, while properties need greater operational efficiency and peace of mind. dormakaba’s commercial-grade access solutions help address both priorities through flexible credentials – including mobile access, keypad, and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) – as well as remote management, 24/7 support, and more than 160 years of access control innovation.
The Palm Bay Club in Siesta Key, Florida, recently addressed that challenge as part of a broader property remodel. The beachfront condominium resort, which has 160 vacation rentals, sought a secure keyless solution that could support remote credentialing, integrate with its existing software, and make check-in easier. Completed in early 2026, the upgrade provides a recent example of how vacation rental operators can modernize access across an entire property.
“Vacation rental managers need to control access for different people and different parts of a property without making arrival more complicated for guests,” said Stéphane Poorghanad, Associate Vice President, Vacation Rental, dormakaba Americas. “The Palm Bay Club is a good example of how connected access can extend beyond the rental unit to the rest of the property.”
The Palm Bay Club selected dormakaba Saffire™ EVO Locks, integrated with their VillaControl property management automation software. The integration allows the property to remotely manage credentials for condominiums, gates, common area doors, and resort amenities. The lock supports mobile devices, RFID credentials, and secure PINs, giving the property multiple ways to provide access.
“We often get feedback from guests about how easy check-in is compared to before,” said France Langan, general manager of The Palm Bay Club.
The commercial-grade design of the Saffire EVO locks was another important consideration for the coastal resort, which needed a solution built for reliable, long-term performance in a hurricane-prone region. At Booth #1101, VRMA attendees can learn more about the Palm Bay Club implementation and learn more about dormakaba access solutions for vacation rental properties.
