Queen Creek Library
In 2007 the Town of Queen Creek approved a policy requiring all municipal buildings over 5000 sq ft to meet minimum LEED requirements. The innovative Queen Creek Library opened in November 2008—the first building to be completed under the new policy. More than a library, the new facility serves as a recreational center and a venue for community activities and celebrations.

DORMAs contribution to the project
Environmentally conscious systems and practices were used throughout. Knowing the need for green building materials, contractor CORE Construction Services, chose DORMA Architectural Hardware for internal and external doorways throughout the Library. DORMA products and manufacturing processes contribute to LEED points in numerous categories.
In addition, reliable, safe, and secure architectural hardware for a municipal hub like the Queen Creek Library is essential. To help ensure the required safe environment, the contractor specified a variety of DORMA products, including surface door closers, exit devices, stops and holders, and locksets.
