f) This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (‘Google’).
D. Google Analytics
If you have given your consent, Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, is used on this website. The responsible service provider in the EU is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (‘Google’).
(1) Scope of processing
Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of our websites. The information collected by the cookies about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
We use the “anonymizeIP” function (so-called IP masking): Due to the activation of IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
During your visit to the website, the following data, among other things, is collected:
the pages you visit, your ‘click path’
achievement of ‘website goals’ (conversions, e.g. newsletter registrations, downloads, purchases)
your user behaviour (e.g. clicks, length of stay, bounce rates)
Your approximate location (region)
Your IP address (in abbreviated form)
Technical information about your browser and the devices you use (e.g. language settings, screen resolution)
Your internet service provider
The referrer URL (via which website/advertising medium you came to this website)
(2) Purposes of processing
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your (pseudonymous) use of the website and to compile reports on website activity. The reports provided by Google Analytics are used to analyse the performance of our website and the success of our marketing campaigns.
(3) Recipient
The recipient of the data is
Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland
as the data processor. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google for this purpose. Google LLC, based in California, USA, and, where applicable, US authorities may access the data stored by Google.
(4) Transfer to third countries
A transfer of data to the USA cannot be ruled out.
(5) Storage period
The data sent by us and linked to cookies is automatically deleted after 14 months. Data that has reached its retention period is automatically deleted once a month. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by
a. not giving your consent to the setting of the cookie, or
b. downloading and installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics HERE.
You can also prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly. However, if you configure your browser to reject all cookies, this may result in restrictions on the functionality of this and other websites.
(6) Legal basis and right of revocation Your consent is required for this data processing, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect. For more information on the terms of use of Google Analytics and data protection at Google, please visit https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/us/ and https://policies.google.com/?hl=en.
E. Facebook Pixel
This website uses Facebook visitor action pixels to measure conversions. This service is provided by Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. However, according to Facebook, the data collected is also transferred to the USA and other third countries.
This allows the behaviour of page visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider's website by clicking on a Facebook advertisement. This allows the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimised. The data collected is anonymous to us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook Data Use Policy. This enables Facebook to place advertisements on Facebook pages and outside of Facebook. As the website operator, we have no influence over this use of the data.
The use of Facebook pixels is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including social media. If corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.
Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/EU_data_transfer_addendum and https://www.facebook.com/help/566994660333381.
You can find further information on the protection of your privacy in Facebook's privacy policy: https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/. You can also deactivate the ‘Custom Audiences’ remarketing function in the ad settings section at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/. To do this, you must be logged in to Facebook.
If you do not have a Facebook account, you can deactivate usage-based advertising from Facebook on the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: https://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices.
F. LinkedIn Insight Tag
This website uses the Insight Tag from LinkedIn. This service is provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.
(1) Data processing by LinkedIn Insight Tag
With the help of the LinkedIn Insight Tag, we receive information about visitors to our website. If a website visitor is registered with LinkedIn, we can analyse, among other things, the key professional data (e.g. career level, company size, country, location, industry and job title) of our website visitors and thus better tailor our site to the respective target groups. Furthermore, with the help of LinkedIn Insight Tags, we can measure whether visitors to our websites make a purchase or take other action (conversion measurement). Conversion measurement can also be carried out across devices (e.g. from PC to tablet). LinkedIn Insight Tag also offers a retargeting function that allows us to display targeted advertising to visitors to our website outside the website, whereby, according to LinkedIn, the advertising recipient is not identified.
LinkedIn itself also collects so-called log files (URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser properties, and time of access). The IP addresses are shortened or (if they are used to reach LinkedIn members across devices) hashed (pseudonymised). The direct identifiers of LinkedIn members are deleted by LinkedIn after seven days. The remaining pseudonymised data is then deleted within 180 days.
As the website operator, we cannot assign the data collected by LinkedIn to specific individuals. LinkedIn will store the personal data collected from website visitors on its servers in the USA and use it for its own advertising purposes. For details, please refer to LinkedIn's privacy policy at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy#choices-oblig.
(2) Legal basis
The use of LinkedIn Insight is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including social media. If corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.
Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/dpa and https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/eu-sccs.
(3) Objection to the use of LinkedIn Insight Tag
You can object to the analysis of usage behaviour and targeted advertising by LinkedIn at the following link: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out. Furthermore, LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in their account settings. To prevent LinkedIn from linking data collected on our website to your LinkedIn account, you must log out of your LinkedIn account before visiting our website.
G. Wiredminds
Our website uses tracking pixel technology from wiredminds GmbH (wiredminds.de) to analyse visitor behaviour. In doing so, data may be collected, processed and stored, from which usage profiles are created under a pseudonym. Where possible and appropriate, these usage profiles are completely anonymised. Cookies may be used for this purpose. Cookies are small text files that are stored in the visitor's internet browser and serve to recognise the internet browser. The data collected, which may also include personal data, is transmitted to wiredminds or collected directly by wiredminds. wiredminds may use information left behind by visits to the websites to create anonymised usage profiles. The data obtained in this way will not be used to personally identify visitors to this website without the express consent of the person concerned, and will not be merged with personal data about the bearer of the pseudonym. If IP addresses are recorded, they are immediately anonymised by deleting the last number block.
Objection to data collection You can prevent wiredminds from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. A technically necessary opt-out cookie will be set, which prevents your data from being collected during future visits to this website:
Exclude from tracking For more information on how wiredminds handles user data, please refer to the privacy policy of wiredminds GmbH: https://wiredminds.de/en/wiredminds/privacy/.
Order data processing We have concluded a contract with wiredminds GmbH for order data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using wiredminds.
H. Newsletter
(1) With your consent, you can subscribe to our newsletter, which we use to inform you about our current interesting offers. The advertised goods and services are specified in the declaration of consent.
(2) We use the double opt-in procedure for registration for our newsletter. This means that after you register, we will send an email to the email address you provided, asking you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm your registration within 24 hours, your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month. In addition, we store your IP addresses and the times of registration and confirmation. The purpose of this procedure is to verify your registration and, if necessary, to investigate any possible misuse of your personal data.
(3) The only mandatory information required for sending the newsletter is your email address. The provision of further, separately marked data is voluntary and is used to address you personally. After your confirmation, we will store your email address for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
(4) You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can revoke your consent by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter email or by sending a message to the contact details above.
(5) We would like to point out that we evaluate your user behaviour when sending the newsletter. For this evaluation, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are single-pixel image files stored on our website. For the evaluations, we link the data mentioned in § 3 and the web beacons to your email address and an individual ID.
Links received in the newsletter also contain this ID. We use the data obtained in this way to create a user profile in order to tailor the newsletter to your individual interests. In doing so, we record when you read our newsletters, which links you click on in them, and deduce your personal interests from this. We link this data to the actions you take on our website.
You can object to this tracking at any time by clicking on the separate link provided in each email or by informing us via another contact channel. The information is stored for as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. After you unsubscribe, we store the data purely for statistical and anonymous purposes.
Furthermore, such tracking is not possible if you have disabled the display of images in your email programme by default. In this case, the newsletter will not be displayed in full and you may not be able to use all functions. If you display the images manually, the above-mentioned tracking will take place.
I. Social plug-ins
(1) Our websites use social plug-ins, e.g. from Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, XING, Instagram or LinkedIn. This displays buttons from the respective providers or integrates content from the respective provider into the website. When you visit a website that uses such a social plug-in, your browser establishes a connection to the respective provider. The content of the social plug-in is transmitted from the relevant provider to your browser and integrated into the relevant website. This process provides the relevant provider with the following data in particular: the information that your browser has accessed the relevant website; the IP address of the device used, even if you do not have an account with the provider.
(2) If you are logged in to the relevant provider at the same time, the provider can assign the visit to your personal profile. If you interact with a social plug-in – for example, by posting a comment – the relevant information is transmitted from your browser to the relevant provider and stored there. It may also be published on your profile with the relevant provider and displayed to your contacts.
J. Use of online services with registration (User account)
(1) In addition to the purely informational use of our website, we offer various services that require registration and the creation of a corresponding user account. To create a user account, you must enter certain personal data, in particular your email address and user name, as well as other information about yourself (e.g. name and address), if applicable. In this context, only those data that we absolutely require for the performance of our services or any contractual relationship with you are designated as mandatory and marked accordingly. In addition, we collect further personal data (e.g. IP address) in connection with the creation of the user account or the provision of services, insofar as this is necessary for the provision of services, including the prevention of misuse, or we are legally obliged to do so.
(2) The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR.
(3) You can delete your user account at any time. In this case, we will delete the data collected in connection with the user account or the provision of services, unless the data is required for other purposes (e.g. statutory retention obligations) or restrict the processing accordingly. Otherwise, we will delete the data or restrict processing accordingly as soon as storage is no longer necessary for the aforementioned purposes.
(4) You may object to data processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (‘legitimate interests’) at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. In the event of an objection, we will no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
K. Learning Management System (LMS)
(1) When subscribing to our learning management platform, where you will find learning content required for product use, training courses for mandatory certifications and registration for available classroom training courses, you will be asked to consent to the use of your personal data in a separate registration process.
(2) We use a separate registration process to ensure that certificates, degree levels and prerequisites for advanced content and planned offers are only made available to specific participants. This means that, after successful registration, all certificates and learning progress are recorded for each individual participant. We also store your IP addresses and the time of your registration and confirmation. The purpose of this procedure is to verify and validate your registration and to detect any possible misuse of your personal data.
(3) The mandatory information required to send you the assigned content and planned classroom training courses is your email address. To complete the billing process for paid content, the delivery address and the name of the employer are required. The provision of additional, separately identified data is voluntary and serves to address you personally. After your confirmation, we will store your email address and shipping information in order to send you personalised content and bookings from the learning management system. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) of the GDPR.
(4) You can withdraw your consent at any time and unsubscribe from the platform. To withdraw your consent, click on the email address in the HELP section of the platform. The administrator will trigger a ticket to the relevant IT department to clean up all associated data (including learning progress, past events, certificates acquired, feedback and all personal data provided during account creation). Once completed, a final email will be sent to confirm that the data has been deleted.
