Access solutions designed for sustainable modern workplaces

ONE Parc Central was developed as part of the transformation of Barcelona’s 22@ district into a hub for sustainable architecture and modern workplace design. Created by Batlleiroig Arquitectura, the project combines open workspaces, natural light and intelligent building solutions to support well-being and collaboration for the building's occupants alongside long-term operational efficiency.

Tasked with translating this vision into daily operation, dormakaba implemented integrated access solutions designed to balance integrated security with architectural openness. The lobby concept is anchored by the use of Argus sensor gates, whose minimalist design and contactless functionality provide seamless access without disrupting the visual language of the building. Customizable finishes allowed the sensor gates to be integrated naturally into the surrounding interior architecture.

The Argus system is also connected to the KONE elevator management system, which helps guide occupants efficiently from the entrance to the workspace while improving people flow throughout the building. This seamless integration supports a more intuitive user journey and contributes to the efficient operation of a high-traffic workplace environment.

The project reflects a strong commitment to sustainable building design, with open communal areas, rooftop green spaces and smart building systems contributing to WELL and LEED Platinum certifications. Through its long-term service partnership, dormakaba also helps to ensure reliable day-to-day performance and operational continuity within the building.
