Preparing to Apply
We understand that applying for a new role can be a daunting process, but at dormakaba, we want to make this process as seamless as possible.
Simply read and understand the role you wish to apply for and follow the ‘Apply Now’ steps to submit your application.
From here, a member of our HR team will be in touch to determine the next steps.
For each of our roles, you will have the opportunity to send your CV and Covering Letter. We encourage you to check that your CV is up to date with your latest contact information, education and work history. Your covering letter is optional; however, it would be great to hear more about you and your reasons for applying to dormakaba.
Your first interview will be by phone: we get to know you, you get to know us, and you have the opportunity to evaluate your fit for us and the opportunity in more detail, before attending a face to face interview. This is again another opportunity to showcase your skills and abilities, and interest for the role. Our telephone interviews last approximately 20 minutes.
Before attending your interview with us, it is advisable that you conduct some research into our company and what we do. We want to hear about your enthusiasm for the role, and why you want to work for dormakaba. It would also be a good idea to clarify your expectations for what you think the role will entail.
Candidates can also prepare by reading through the full job advert and skills associated with the role and preparing examples for where they have evidenced these attributes.
We encourage you to ask questions throughout the interview, and there will also be time at the end to clarify anything further. Our interviews are always a two-way conversation; we want you to feel relaxed and comfortable.
After your initial screening interview, an in-depth, competency-based interview will be conducted by the Hiring Manager together with a member of staff from our HR department. A key stakeholder from the business or your matrix manager may join the interview. This interview typically lasts between 60 and 90 minutes.
Depending on the job you are applying for, you may also be required to undergo a number of assessments through you which you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your technical knowledge and expertise, cognitive aptitude, managerial experience and skills, work approach, and potential fit into the dormakaba culture.
You will be guided and supported throughout the entire process by the HR team.
