When it comes to door hardware, dormakaba Ireland’s very own Luke Bracey is the man in the know. Based in Dublin and covering the whole of Ireland, Luke has been with dormakaba for just over a year and has quickly become a familiar face to many of our customers. We caught up with him to chat about his role, what he enjoys most about it, and his highlights from an exciting year.
Q&A with Luke Bracey, Sales – Door Hardware, dormakaba Ireland
Q: Luke, how long have you been with dormakaba and what areas do you cover? A:I’ve been with dormakaba for about a year now. I’m based in Dublin, but I look after door hardware sales across the entire country, so I get to travel a lot and meet customers from all over Ireland.
Q: That’s a great way to get to know the country! What product do you most enjoy working with? A:I have to say, I love working with our door closers. You can find them in all sorts of buildings around Ireland, from hotels and public building, to national landmarks and sporting venues, and it’s always satisfying to see our products in action, contributing to the quality and safety of those spaces.
Q: What’s the best part of your job? A:Definitely visiting customers and seeing how they’re getting on. I really enjoy building relationships, understanding their needs, and helping them with any projects they might have. Plus, I love travelling. It’s great to get out, meet people face-to-face, and see the results of our work across Ireland.

Q: Looking ahead, what are you most looking forward to next year? A:I’m really looking forward to getting out to see even more customers and continuing to build trust across the industry. It’s been a great first year, and I’m excited to keep that momentum going.
Q: And finally, what’s been your personal highlight of 2025 so far? A:Without a doubt, taking part in theArchitecture and Building Expo at the RDS in October. It was a fantastic event and a great opportunity to connect with so many professionals, showcase our products, and see the innovation happening in the Irish architectural world.
