Meet the Team: Jonathan Drummond, Vertical Solutions Sales Lead – Automatic Projects & Service Sales
Can you tell us about your role as Vertical Solutions Sales Lead – Automatic Projects & Service Sales?
My role is to work closely with main contractors, glazing fabricators, curtain walling companies and the wider construction supply chain across the North East, Yorkshire and Scotland. I support customers with prestigious automatic entrance projects, providing solutions from across dormakaba's automatic door portfolio, including swing and sliding door operators, revolving doors, curved sliding doors and bespoke entrance systems.
What types of projects and customers do you work with most often?
I mainly work on major commercial and public sector developments where reliable, high-performance automatic entrance solutions are essential. My customers include main contractors, glazing specialists, curtain walling companies and other members of the construction supply chain, all working together to deliver complex building projects.
What do you enjoy most about helping customers deliver successful automatic entrance solutions?
For me, it's all about understanding the customer's requirements. Every project is different, so I enjoy listening to what they need and recommending a solution that is tailored to the building, the people using it and the demands it will face. Knowing that the entrance will continue to perform reliably for years to come is incredibly rewarding.
What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone planning an automatic door project?

When you're not supporting customers and projects, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Family time is really important to me, so I enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. Most Sundays you'll find me on the sidelines of an Under-11s football pitch, proudly cheering on my eldest son as he plays for his local team.
