WROCŁAW PKP CENTRAL STATION, WROCŁAW (POL)
Grupa 5 Architekci
It is one of the few and oldest railway stations in Poland that has its own platform hall. As a design by the royal architect of the Upper Silesian Railway, Wilhelm Grapow, the station started operation in 1857.
Over the years it has been expanded and repaired; at present it has 6 platforms for handling passengers.
Wrocław Główny (Wrocław Main Station) has become the destination for such special trains as Hefajstos (Polish for Hephaistos), Piknik z parowozem (Picnic with a steam engine) and in 2011 even the Orient Express.
