Self-locking emergency-escape lock for the active door leaf SVA 4000
Active, self-locking mechanical emergency-escape locks with contact switches for the active door leaf in double-leaf door systems, combined with the SVI 4000 passive door leaf lock, offer a secure and monitored solution for double-leaf doors.
Thanks to the emergency escape function, the door leaves can be quickly opened from the inside with a handle. The automatic locking mechanism ensures that the doors are securely locked as soon as they close.
The lock is suitable for use in emergency exits and escape routes in compliance with EN 179 or on panic doors with a horizontal push bar in compliance with EN 1125.
Secure and convenient
As a mechanical user solution with floating contacts for double-leaf doors, the self-locking emergency escape solution SVA 4000/SVI 4000 is ideal for monitored building doors whose status does not need to be monitored. Thanks to the emergency escape function, the door can be readily opened by simply operating the lever handle, while the automatic relocking mechanism ensures secure lock re-engagement once the door has closed.
Range of monitoring functions
The feedback contacts of the lock allow the latch, latch bolt, cylinder and lever handle all to be monitored. The signalling functions of the SVA 4000 are particularly suitable for monitoring and ensuring the convenient operation of doors in emergency exit and escape route systems but can also be used to trigger alarm systems or for remote monitoring.
SVA 4000 active door leaf locks are available in different models suitable for over-rebated or flush-closing timber doors as well as narrow stile doors. They are flexible to install thanks to the DIN universal trip latch. They have been approved as emergency exit locks for doors in escape routes and for use on fire and smoke check doors.
