Smart, secure and barrier-free door solutions by dormakaba in high demand at BAU 2019
BAU 2019 again broke records in terms of size, exhibitors and visitor numbers. 250,000 visitors, an unprecedented 85,000 of whom came from abroad (2017: 80,500), confirmed BAU’s importance as the world’s leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems. dormakaba was also very pleased with the response to the fire protection, barrier-free design, escape route security and access control system solutions it presented.
“At BAU, the leading trade fair for our industry, we were able to reach our main target groups such as architects, planners and installers. Our prospective customers and partners took plenty of time to see the integrated door solutions we showed them and gave us excellent feedback”, says managing director Michael Hensel. Looking back on BAU 2019, he is very satisfied. “Our booth was well attended at all times and the quality of the visitors was very high. BAU was a great start to the new year for us”, adds Michael Wiegand, Vice President Marketing AS DACH.
The innovations dormakaba presented, such as the design-oriented ARGUS sensor barriers, the flexible escape route system SafeRoute, the new barrier-free door solutions and the Mobile Access solution, met with great interest. In keeping with the trade fair’s official theme, visitors saw the move towards digitalisation reflected not only in the presentation of the new BIM tool “BIM All Doors” but in almost every exhibit at the company’s booth. The product holograms and Virtual Design Center Interactive were met with astonishment. Many visitors immersed themselves in the virtual world as avatars and experienced a very special highlight in the dormakaba virtual showroom.
