dormakaba at BAU 2019 trade fair: Smart system solutions for safe access

Ennepetal, 15. October 2018

At the BAU 2019 trade fair in Munich from 14 to 19 January 2019, dormakaba will be appearing as a reliable partner for smart and safe entrance and access solutions, with an extensive product portfolio to do with doors. Taking centre-stage will be system solutions for fire protection, barrier-free design, escape route security and access controls, which are shown on example doors. The company will be presenting a wide range of new products, ranging from design-oriented sensor locks to a flexible escape route system, a new self-locking emergency-escape lock series and fittings, and to mobile access. These products can be integrated ideally in property solutions for healthcare, office buildings and hotels.

The particular focus is on solutions for a safe, barrier-free entrance for buildings or spaces, and thereby door solutions with high user convenience, but that will also meet other requirements such as precautionary fire protection. Architects and planners will discover the digital solutions and tools dormakaba can offer and how they can design the access network of tomorrow with open software platforms.

The latest generation of Argus sensor locks with a completely new, modular design concept are being presented. Alongside different door leaf heights and passageway widths, different materials, surface finishes and lighting options are available for the design of entrance halls in modern buildings. Equally new is the emergency exit and escape route system SafeRoute. The system offers particular flexibility and economy throughout the entire planning and implementation process. The widely uniform hardware platform and the advanced DCW® system bus enables the implementation of different control concepts to be considerably simplified. The scope of functions can be adapted at any time thanks to the new license model. Also being presented are networked solutions, especially product combinations such as the fully automated double-leaf door system consisting of the combination of the new motorised self-locking and unlocking SVA 2000 DCW® anti-panic lock as well as the functionally identical SVI 2000 DCW® second leaf lock and the modular ED 100/250 revolving door drive. With the integrated dormakaba DCW® BUS technology, the system manages the system without a motor lock control unit and is suitable for emergency escape doors in accordance with EN 179 and full panic doors in accordance with EN 1125.

In terms of customer contact, dormakaba is also taking innovative, digital approaches. With the Virtual Design Center Interactive, visitors will discover a particular highlight. With this new dimension of a unique experience, specialist visitors will have the opportunity to step into virtual client segments (such as airports, industry and hotels) and meet with others virtually as avatars in a virtual showroom, speaking with one another and look at products and solutions from all sides.
